Parking Lot Duty – Benedick/McClure

All students registered for the Allegany College of MD English class with Mrs. Hoover should report to class on Monday, January 21st during 1st period. Any questions see Mrs. McMullen.

Anyone who is NOT taking Physical Education this year should stop by the MAC LAB and take a short survey. Mrs. Kendall or Mrs. Hansroth will be there to assist you!

The end of the 1st semester/2nd MP is Tuesday, January 22nd. New schedules will be handed out on Wednesday, January 23rd in homerooms. Juniors and Seniors in semester classes will have until January 29th to make changes to those semester classes. Report cards will be handed out on Tuesday, January 29th.

Teachers: Grades are due by Monday, January 28th at 8:00 AM. Any questions see Mrs. McMullen.

HS students with perfect attendance for the 2nd marking period will be eligible for the $25. cash prize drawing.

The library will be closed period MS period 5, 7, and during “B” lunch today.

Seniors – Just a last minute reminder that your finished Portfolios and Senior Projects are due with signatures to the guidance office by Tuesday, January 22nd. There will be NO extensions to this deadline! Any questions see Mrs. McMullen.

The next yearbook work session will be after school Thursday, January 17 from 3-5 p.m.

SPORTS

Open strength conditioning sessions for boy’s in grade 9 through 12 interested in an opportunity to condition for baseball tryouts. Sessions are held Tuesday and Thursday mornings between 7 and 7:45 AM in the high school fitness room.

Congratulations to the Lady Spartans on last night’s defeat of the Hyndman Hornets. JJ DeShong led all scorers with 8 points while Courtney McClure and Raquel Zittle each had 7. McClure also added 7 rebounds. Tonight the Lady Spartans host Tussey Mt.

If you were not in the elementary gym Friday night or last night you missed two of the most exciting team played games of the year. McConnellsburg Jr. High boy’s defeated SF 37-36 and then came back last night and defeated TM 36-17!! WAY TO GO SPARTANS! The team would like to thank all their dedicated fans for all the cheering and support. We could not have done it without YOU! Next game will be Friday at F. Metal.
