Elementary Secretary: Full time elementary secretary needed. Candidates must encompass confidentiality, excellent communication and organizational skills. Requirements include but are not limited to: attention to detail, ability to multitask, manage priorities, work independently and efficiently, proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Word, Outlook, Excel, Google Suites, and Publisher. Associate degree preferred. Good Evening: Just a few reminders and updates as we approach our first day of school: **Reminder that tonight is the MS/HS Back to School Night from 6:00pm-7:30pm. **Our first student day is Wednesday, August 24th. All students should report to their building cafeteria for breakfast or to the gym in their assigned building if they arrive to school prior to 8am. No students will be able to go to homeroom prior to 8am except for Kindergarten students. **In regards to sports and field trip transportation, the school board approved two bus contractors on August 9th to provide transportation for the 2022-23 school year on an as needed basis. Minutes from the August 9th meeting are available on our website under Board of Education. A special board meeting was held on Tuesday, August 16th. At this meeting, the school board approved for grant funding to be used to purchase two buses to assist with any transportation needs including emergencies, extra-curriculars, sports, and field trips. So just to clarify, we do have transportation for our daily school routes with our local contractors, and we do have transportation for sports, extracurricular activities, and field trips as well. A waiver for parents to transport students was approved only for emergency situations. We have no plans of having families drive their students unless of course it would be an emergency. There is no concern at this time regarding transportation. I will do my best to keep all of you informed as I did last year. If transportation should become an issue in the future, I will let you know. However, as of right now, our transportation issues have been resolved: we have two contractors plus two district purchased buses for the 2022-23 school year to ensure our students’ safety while allowing them to do what they love most about public education.
