July 1, 2021

Dear Central Fulton School District Faculty, Staff, and Community,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the start of the 2021-22 school year and officially introduce myself as the Superintendent of Schools. Being a life-long resident of Fulton County and a graduate of McConnellsburg High School, I consider this a true privilege and honor to have been appointed your new Superintendent of Schools and to have taken the oath of office at the Fulton County Court House with Judge Meyers on June 15, 2021.

A little bit about me… I am blessed with a wonderful husband, Jason, and two fun-filled boys, Landon and Brayden. I  successfully earned educational credentials from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Shippensburg University, and Millersville University. I taught music for 10 years before going into Administration. With earning a MA Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Shippensburg University in May 2009 and my principal’s certification in August 2009, I was excited and eager to make a difference as a High School Principal. Being so thankful for my wonderful experiences at Forbes Road and Everett, I was ready to come back to my home where I served as the High School Principal before moving into this new position.

With over 20 years of experience, I wholeheartedly value the programs and services here at CFSD, and I am committed to building upon past practices to ensure students have opportunities to explore their interests and find their true passion. In addition to the robust education programs here, I love the sense of pride that our faculty, staff, students and community show to support our schools. We have such a strong team, and it is my intent to continue to foster and cultivate this passion in order to ensure the continued success of our students, schools, and community.

While serving as your Superintendent of Schools, I plan to be accessible to all stakeholders and maintain an open door communication policy. I encourage and welcome any questions, comments, or concerns you have about our schools and can be reached via phone at  (717) 485-7000 or email at cramsey@cfsd.info.

Even though we are still struggling through unprecedented times, I am hopeful that we can return to some normalcy this year. I am excited for our first day with students on Wednesday, August 25th, and I hope you continue to have a safe, happy, and healthy summer.

Sincerely,

Dr. Christina J. Ramsey

Superintendent of Schools
