Dear MMS and MHS Students, Families and Community Members, We are excited to share that McConnellsburg Middle/High School now offers a Food Pantry and Care Closet to support our students and their families. This has been made possible through state and federal grant funding and distributed by the Fulton Family Partnership and the Fulton County Food Basket. Both are available to ALL students attending McConnellsburg Middle/High School. The Food Pantry provides shelf-stable groceries and snacks, while the Care Closet offers personal care items. Our goal is simple: to make sure every student has access to the essentials they need to feel confident, focused, and ready to learn. The Food Pantry will typically have:
● Fresh fruits and vegetables
● Grains such as bread, pasta, and rice
● Meat or other protein options
● Canned meat, vegetables, fruit, beans and soup
● Miscellaneous items such as peanut butter, jams, snacks, pasta sauce, etc.
Items are available at no cost and students can visit discreetly by coming to Room 602 (downstairs, next to the elevator) during open hours (listed weekly on the door), or speaking with the School Social Worker, Stacy Duffey or the Guidance Office. Families are also welcome to reach out to arrange pick-up or request specific items. If you have questions or would like to make a donation, please contact Stacy Duffey, School Social Worker, sduffey@cfsd.info, (717) 485-7030. You may also contact Susan Cubbage from the Fulton County Food Basket at 717-485-5688 or 717-816-0380. All inquiries and food distributions are kept confidential. Thank you for helping us support our school community. Together, we can make sure no student goes without the basics they need to succeed. With Appreciation, Administration Team McConnellsburg Middle/High School
