McConnellsburg Elementary School

The MHS Boys Soccer Team defeated North Star last night, with a score of 6-0 in the first round of District playoffs! They will now be competing at home in the second round of District playoffs on Tuesday (November 1st) at 7:00pm, against Everett! Due to this game the CFSD School Board's November Work Session will now be held on Wednesday, November 2nd at 7:30pm, with a Curriculum Meeting held prior to at 6:30pm.

MHS Athletics. Congratulations to our boys soccer on their 6-0 win in round 1. Semifinals next Tuesday, November 1 at 7pm. Game will be home vs Everett Remember all tickets must be purchased online.

Good Evening: Just a few reminders and updates as we approach our first day of school: **Reminder that tonight is the MS/HS Back to School Night from 6:00pm-7:30pm. **Our first student day is Wednesday, August 24th. All students should report to their building cafeteria for breakfast or to the gym in their assigned building if they arrive to school prior to 8am. No students will be able to go to homeroom prior to 8am except for Kindergarten students. **In regards to sports and field trip transportation, the school board approved two bus contractors on August 9th to provide transportation for the 2022-23 school year on an as needed basis. Minutes from the August 9th meeting are available on our website under Board of Education. A special board meeting was held on Tuesday, August 16th. At this meeting, the school board approved for grant funding to be used to purchase two buses to assist with any transportation needs including emergencies, extra-curriculars, sports, and field trips. So just to clarify, we do have transportation for our daily school routes with our local contractors, and we do have transportation for sports, extracurricular activities, and field trips as well. A waiver for parents to transport students was approved only for emergency situations. We have no plans of having families drive their students unless of course it would be an emergency. There is no concern at this time regarding transportation. I will do my best to keep all of you informed as I did last year. If transportation should become an issue in the future, I will let you know. However, as of right now, our transportation issues have been resolved: we have two contractors plus two district purchased buses for the 2022-23 school year to ensure our students’ safety while allowing them to do what they love most about public education.
